What We Place on Our Walls… Speaks Into Their Hearts

What We Place on Our Walls… Speaks Into Their Hearts

As moms, we spend hours choosing the perfect crib, the softest blanket, the safest paints and toys.

But have we considered what’s on the walls?

Not just the color or style—but the message.

Because what we hang on our walls… quietly shapes the hearts within them.

Deuteronomy 6: Truth On the Doorframes

In Deuteronomy 6, God gives a very specific instruction to His people:

“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart…And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.”
(Deuteronomy 6:6,9 KJV)

This wasn’t a metaphor.
God intended His Word to be seen—daily, in ordinary places. On walls. In homes. In front of children.

He knew that Scripture displayed where we live would impact how we live.
And generations later, it still does.

The Walls Are Teaching Even When We’re Not

Our homes speak, even when we don’t.

In the quiet moments of a child tracing the letters of a verse before bedtime...
In the warm welcome of Scripture in the entryway...
In the middle of chaos, where truth still hangs calmly on the wall...

God’s Word whispers:
“You are loved. You are chosen. You are not alone.”

The visuals in our homes—especially ones filled with Scripture—become part of the emotional and spiritual memory of our children. They don’t just hear the truth… they begin to carry it.

Why We Put Scripture on Our Walls

It’s not just about decorating.
It’s about discipling—visually, gently, daily.

As mothers, wives, and homemakers, we have the honor of creating a space where truth isn’t just spoken...
It’s seen.
It’s felt.
It’s remembered.

We display Scripture on our walls because we want our children to grow up in an atmosphere where God’s Word is woven into the fabric of everyday life.

Because what they see daily… they carry for life.
